Halloween night turned sour in one York street.
Someone threw a pumpkin at a house on Temple Avenue in Tang Hall last night (October 31) and smashed the window.
The incident happened between 8.15pm and 8.40pm.
Police are searching for the person responsible. If you have any information or CCTV that can help them call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and quote reference number 12180203890.
It wasn’t the only problem dealt with by officers. York police say they had a number of calls about groups of youths causing problems.
The most common complaints were of people throwing eggs and fireworks at houses and cars.
The York North Safer Neighbourhood Team tweeted: “Please make sure you know where your children are and what they are doing over the next few evenings!”
