More than £2,000 stolen from York shop a day before Christmas

Thieves stole cash from a city centre shop just before Christmas.

The theft took place between 6pm on Sunday 23 December and 8am on Monday 24 December.

Those responsible entered the store on Coney Street and gained access to a safe. More than £2,000 was taken.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information following the theft. If you can help please contact them – details below.
