One man has been arrested after a violent incident in York today (Wednesday).
The man was pulled over by police in Staxton near Scarborough after trying escape by car down the A64.
Officers in York thanked their colleagues for what they described as a “good spot” via automatic numberplate recognition, which led to the suspect being found.
