After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, York Fashion Week is back for 2022 – not just once, but twice!

For the first time ever, this year’s York Fashion Week (YFW) will take place biannually, with autumn/winter shows scheduled alongside the upcoming spring/summer celebration of fashion.

It also aims to make a major comeback after the two-year break, with plans to stage more than 20 events across the city. The spring/summer York Fashion Week will take place from 29 April to 3 May 2022.

Mark Bewick, managing director of York Fashion Week said: “After a two-year hiatus, the response to the Spring Summer show has been phenomenal and we have an exciting programme of events scheduled for the week-long celebration of fashion.”

Events will include workshops, personal styling sessions, runway shows, exhibitions, presentations from prominent designers, displays from students, inspirational talks and more.

Confirmed shows include TV personality Charlotte Crosby’s fashion brand Pepper Girls Club hitting the runway for its debut show, a student and graduate runway show, and a fashion runway hosted by Femme Country Magazine.

The full programme will be announced on Friday 11 March.

Events will run in collaboration with a host of venues and businesses from across the city of York including Malmaison, DoubleTree by Hilton York, Berry’s Jewellers, York College of Fashion, Time to Bloom and Browns.

Nicky Hayer, Founder and Director at York Fashion Week, added: “We have been overwhelmed by the interest already shown in YFW and know that this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever.”
