People in York have been paying tribute to the Queen, following her death at the age of 96.

Flags have started to be lowered to half mast.

York photographer Lewis Outing, known as Lazlo Uzala on Twitter, captured the moment The Grand hotel in York lowered its Union flag to half mast.

And at the York Barbican, a tribute was paid to the Queen before the performance.

Ian Donaghy, host of A Night To Remember, the charity concert raising money for St Leonard’s Hospice, dementia projects in York, Bereaved Children Support York & Accessible Arts & Media, led the tributes.
