Fire crews were called out after a dog got stuck on Sutton Bank – and its owner got stuck attempting a rescue.
The drama began at about 3.44pm off the A170.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A dog had fallen down a bank and the owner had tried to rescue the dog but got stuck.
“Crews used rescue from height equipment and lighting to carry out search and rescue. Both the owner and their dog were successfully reunited.”
