We are excited to announce that YorkMix are teaming up with the Joseph Rowntree Theatre.
This is a great partnership with one of York’s most beloved theatres.
The community venue has a varied programme of live music, plays and musicals, talks, and more – and you’ll hear all the announcements of new shows first on YorkMix and YorkMix Radio.

The partnership will also mean you can win big with exclusive competitions and hear interviews with the cast and creatives of shows coming to the Joseph Rowntree Theatre.
And you may spot some familiar faces dotted around the theatre and in the brochure…
The news was also revealed this morning by Laura Castle on the YorkMix Radio Breakfast Show.
The Joseph Rowntree Theatre is a registered charity and operates in a Grade II listed building.
It is managed by a volunteer board of 14 trustees, and is supported by over 170 volunteers working across all areas – from stage crew to marketing.
Dan Shrimpton, chair of the board of trustees, said: “We’re delighted about the partnership between the Joseph Rowntree Theatre and YorkMix. It’s a great opportunity for both well-loved York organisations to work together for the benefit of the local community.
“In working closely together we’ll be able to reach even more people across our city.”
There are some fantastic upcoming shows heading to the venue – such as musical entertainment with West Side Story (7-8 Oct) and Disney’s Frozen Jr (1-4 Nov), live music from One Night in Dublin (10 Oct) and One Iota (13 Jan).
There’s festive fun with a Christmas Gala Concert (22-23 Dec) and the pantomime Cinderella (9-16 Dec) – with YorkMix Radio‘s very own Laura Castle as the fairy godmother!
