Accessible Arts & Media are back for another fun gig and they can’t wait to get everyone back on stage.
This time, they’ll be moving and shaking to folk-themed songs and getting everyone involved in a fabulous ceilidh.
The Accessible Arts & Media Ceilidh will take place at The Gateway Centre in Acomb on Sunday 29 October.
A ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is the Gaelic word for a traditional Scottish and Irish social get-together that involves dancing and playing traditional music.
The non-profit organisation Accessible Arts & Media run fun and inclusive creative learning and wellbeing activities in and around York.
Their projects Hands & Voices, IMPs and Movers & Shakers will be hitting the stage with their own folky performances.
Then it’ll be time for The New Fox Band to lead everyone in a Ceilidh dance – complete with traditional Gaelic numbers. So be prepared to get up and jig!
The event is free but donations are welcome.
Funds raised from the afternoon will be going straight back into supporting the projects that will be taking part.
