A shop on one of York’s busiest streets has closed – but the business is still thriving.
The Molly Browns clothing store on Low Petergate has shut, as trade is consolidated at its branch on Stonegate.
All its stock is being moved over to that shop.
Molly Browns specialises in wedding outfits for the mother of the bride and groom, occasion wear, prom and evening dresses.
It also has branches in Beverley and Brigg.
The empty unit, at 62-68 Low Petergate, is now being offered for lease.
It has a ground floor sales area of 526 sq ft, and is available for rent at £47,500 a year. The rateable value is £39K.
