Sugababes to play huge show in York Museum Gardens

Iconic – Sugababes

Filed Under: News, Things to do

Pop icons Sugababes will play York’s Museum Gardens this summer.

The legendary girl band were today revealed as the final headliner for a series of concerts in the park.

They will play the historic venue on Sunday 21 July.

They join previously announced headliners Jack Savoretti (18 July) and local legends Shed Seven (19 and 20 July) for a huge weekend of live music in the city.

Sugababes became one of the most successful British girlbands of the 21st century with six number one singles, millions of global sales and multiple multi-platinum albums.

Along the way they told one of the most spectacular stories of the modern pop era, but it all started with one song, three voices and a mysterious white label 7”.

Fast forward two decades, the original line up of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy arrived back in full force becoming the talk of the summer festivals including having to shut down their field at Glastonbury due to demand.

Sugababes will be joined by a full supporting line-up of very special guests with the full line-up to be revealed soon.

Live At York Museum Gardens is presented by Yorkshire promoters Futuresound.

Having worked on incredible concerts and festivals around Yorkshire for decades, Futuresound are the team behind events including Live At Leeds, Slam Dunk Festival and Ed Sheeran’s unforgettable performances at Roundhay Park.

Live at York Museum Gardens joining other event series in historic locations this summer including Kirkstall Abbey and Ludlow Castle.

Museum Gardens, the botanic gardens in the heart of York next to the River Ouse, was created in the 1830s by the Yorkshire Philosophical Society along with the Yorkshire Museum, which still sits within them.
