The Star Inn the City, York, is on Open Table’s Top UK 100 Brunches and Sunday Lunches for 2024 list – and is the only York restaurant featured.

For their Sunday lunch menu, The Star Inn the City offers a delectable choice of meats – from Escrick-reared pork, to salt-aged beef, to Yorkshire Wolds chicken. All are served with duck fat roast potatoes, buttered seasonal greens, carrot, swede & horseradish stump, ‘proper’ gravy, and – of course – a Yorkshire Pudding.
There is also a fish and vegetarian option for non-meat eaters.
