Two men have been arrested after police took action on a street in York city centre today (Monday).
They were detained on suspicion of drugs offences. One was also arrested for assault.
PCSO Aidan Ballanger said: “Today, following a routine address check at a property on Gillygate by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team, two males have been arrested for breaching a premises closure order and for concern in the supply of controlled substances.
“One of the males was also arrested for assaulting an emergency worker.
“Our officers are committed to maintaining the safety and security of our community. This action underscores our dedication to enforcing the law and protecting residents.”
