Police are asking for the public’s help after a dog attacked a resident in York.

It happened on Monday, 16 September at about 6.30pm in Dijon Avenue, Westfield.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police are investigating an incident where a member of the public was bitten by a dog.

“Do you have any information which would assist North Yorkshire Police in finding those responsible and help keep your community safe?

“Did you or anyone who you live with, hear, or see anything around the above time and date?

“Do you have any CCTV/mobile phone footage capturing the offence, or anything happening on the street before or after?”

If you can help, call police on 101 or contact PC 319 at Nabiel.galab@northyorkshire.police.uk and quote 12240169250.
