Stick a pony in your pocket – the Trotters are nearly in York!

It’s almost time for a truly cushty night out, as the smash hit show Only Fools and Horses The Musical arrives in York this month.

Based on John Sullivan’s legendary TV show with a script and original score written by John’s son, Jim Sullivan, and comedy icon Paul Whitehouse, get ready to see this classic comedy brought to life on stage.

Only Fools & Horses The Musical is at the Grand Opera House York from Monday 14 to Saturday 19 October.

It’s 1989 and it’s all kicking off in Peckham. While the yuppie invasion of London is in full swing, love is in the air as Del Boy sets out on the rocky road to find his soul mate, Rodney and Cassandra prepare to say ‘I do’, and even Trigger is gearing up for a date (with a person!). Meanwhile, Boycie and Marlene give parenthood one final shot and Grandad takes stock of his life and decides the time has finally arrived to get his piles sorted.

With musical contributions from the iconic Chas & Dave, the beloved theme tune as you’ve never heard it before, and an array of brand-new songs full of character and cockney charm, you’re guaranteed to have a right ol’ knees-up!

The cast in York features Sam Lupton as Del Boy, Tom Major as Rodney, Philip Childs as Grandad, Georgina Hagen as Raquel, Nicola Munns as Marlene/Cassandra, Craig Berry as Boycie, Lee VG as Trigger, Bradley John as Denzil, Peter Watts as Danny Driscoll/Mickey Pearce, Darryl Paul as Mike/Tony Driscoll, Richard J Hunt as Dating Agent, Gloria Acquaah-Harrison as Mrs Obookao, Andrew Bryant as resident director/dance captain/ensemble.

Amanda Coutts, Chris Arkeston, Rhys Owen, Kieran Andrew, Katie Paine and Oscar Dobbins make up the ensemble.

Tickets are very limited so don’t hesitate to book if you haven’t already! Tickets start from £15 and are available from the Grand Opera House website. You’d be a 42 carat plonker to miss it.
