York fire crews rescued a person stuck in the mud along a riverbank yesterday evening (2 May).
The person had reportedly become trapped while attempting to rescue their dog, who managed to free itself prior to the crews arrival.
The incident took place at around 8:12 pm in Stamford Bridge.
Firefighters used safety lines and crew power to assist the person from the mud and bring them to safety.
