Fire crews helped out after a deer became trapped in railings in York this morning (Monday).
They were called in at 5.40am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Acomb assisted police who came across a young deer which became stuck between metal railings.
“Crews used edraulic spreaders and a salvage sheet to widen the railings and remove the deer safely.
“The deer then ran away at its own accord, uninjured.”
