Police are investigating an outbreak of violence in a York village last night (Sunday).
It happened at around 10.10pm on Hawthorn Terrace close to the junction with White Rose Avenue.
Two vehicles stopped in the middle of the road and the occupants then attacked each other using weapons.

This caused “significant damage” to both the vehicles before they drove off at speed.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “At this stage it is unclear the make and model of the vehicles or the identity of any of those involved.
“They left the location and drove off in the direction of the A1237.
“We’re appealing for information from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and has dashcam footage, doorbell footage or any other CCTV which may help to identify the vehicles.”
