A stretch of the A64 in North Yorkshire will close for six nights, starting tonight (Monday).
It’s so National Highways can carry out surveys ahead of a proposed safety barrier scheme in the area.
The A64 eastbound from Musley Bank to the Old Malton junction will be shut from 14-21 July between 8pm and 6am.
The access slip will remain open.
Traffic will be diverted via:
- the B1248 and the B1257
- before joining Town Street Old Malton
- Old Malton Road, Town Street Old Malton
- before rejoining at the Old Malton junction.
There will be an additional westbound lane 2 closure on this stretch of the dual carriageway.
Then for one night on 22 July there’s full closure of the A64 westbound from the Old Malton junction to Musley Bank.
Traffic will be diverted:
- from the Old Malton junction via the B1257,
- Town Street Old Malton, Old Malton Road, Yorkers Gate, York Road B1248
- before rejoining at the Musley westbound access slip.
There will be an additional eastbound lane 2 closure for 1km from the Old Malton junction.
