A light aircraft was performing aerobatics before it crashed in a North Yorkshire field, killing two young men.
The Cessna FRA150L two-seater plane came to ground near Thorganby, between York and Selby, exactly a year ago.
Today the Air Accidents Investigation Branch gave an update on its investigation to mark the anniversary.
In a statement, it said: “The aircraft was performing aerobatic manoeuvres north of Breighton Airfield.
“It entered a steep descent and struck the ground in a field near Thorganby.

“The pilot and passenger were fatally injured.”
The AAIB added: “The investigation is ongoing, and the final report will be published in due course.”
Matthew Bird, 21, and Oliver Dawes, 24, died in the crash.
Matthew, from Spofforth, was the pilot. Oliver, from Burley in Wharfedale, was the passenger.
Their families spoke of their devastation in heartfelt tributes after the crash.
