Crews have been called to a deliberate fire at a York skate park for the second time in less than 24 hours.
YorkMix reported how firefighters from York and Acomb responded to reports of smoke emerging from the Foss Bank car park shortly before 6pm last night (Sunday).
That turned out to be a fire started deliberately at the Zoo Skatepark.
Today at 2.15pm, York firefighters were back there again.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York responded to reports of a fire to a chair in a skate park.
“Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and damped down the area. The cause was believed to be deliberate.”
