** UPDATED: the road has now reopened **
Emergency services are on the scene of a serious crash tonight (Wednesday).
It’s on the A171 Whitby to Scarborough road.
The road is closed between the Flask Inn and the Falcon Inn.
Crash location
The collision happened at about 10.20pm. We don’t yet have word on any casualties.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area until further notice.
