There was a serious collision on Moor Lane (B1222) in Sherburn in Elmet earlier today (Wednesday).
Moor Lane and the northbound carriageway of the A162 were closed, but North Yorkshire Police have confirmed that they have now reopened.
At the time of the incident, those planning to travel in the area were asked to use alternative routes and avoid the scene to allow emergency crews to respond.
