Emergency services were called to a serious crash in York last night (Sunday).
It happened on the A59 near Poppleton Lakes at 5.31pm.
Two cars were involved and the road was closed for several hours while 999 crews worked at the scene.

Witnesses said the vehicles were in a ditch near the road.
One person said on Facebook: “We were in the fishing lake and come running to help. All involved were so lucky that lives weren’t lost.”
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Acomb and York responded to a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision.
“Crews assisted with first aid and scene safety and casualties were left in the hands of the ambulance crews.”
One woman was reported to be hurt.
