North Yorkshire fire crews are dealing with multiple incidents today – and the Langdale Moor blaze has flared up again.
Fire control said it became “extremely busy with multiple ongoing incidents” from 1pm.
That came “alongside an extensive make up of fire crews to return Langdale Forest to stop a flare up of fire and smoke in the area”.
The Langdale Moor wildfire, close to RAF Fylingdales, has now been burning for two weeks.
The service said today: “We continue to maintain a presence at the Langdale wildfire and crews are likely to remain on site for some time.

“Our teams, alongside partner agencies, are working hard to damp down hotspots and prevent further spread.
“For everyone’s safety, please avoid the area, including the cycle tracks through Langdale Forest.
“If you’re heading out to enjoy other parts of the countryside, please take a moment to follow wildfire prevention advice.”
