Rock right back to the Eighties with stars of West End musical

York, are you ready to rock?

Hit musical Rock Of Ages opened on Tuesday night (September 2) at the Grand Opera House. To celebrate two of the stars Cordelia Farnworth and Noel Sullivan went for an impromptu open air jam.

With epic Eighties anthems like Don’t Stop Believin’, We Built This City and I Wanna Know What Love Is, the show is known as “the ultimate rock mix-tape musical”.

Following a busy week in Woking, Surrey, the show is in York until Saturday, September 6 before moving off to Southampton.

The story focuses on two ambitious teenagers with big dreams who end up falling in love.

Noel, who plays Drew Boley, told us: “This is the first national tour of the show.” For the last three years Rock Of Ages has been playing to appreciative houses in London’s West End.

Cordelia, who plays Sherrie Christian, spoke about how much every audience enjoys the show and said teenagers particularly relate to her character.
