Do you trust this man? Well you should – he’s a doctor and he works for the venerable BBC.
Michael Mosley was filming in York on Monday (June 22) for the BBC Two series he presents Trust Me, I’m A Doctor.
The show, which sets out to test the evidence for various health claims made in the media, has been in our own sweet city to film a segment on chocolate.
Michael’s fellow presenter Dr Chris van Tulleken was in York earlier in the month to try out some experiments on willing volunteers.
City chocoholics took part in the tests connected with their cravings for the sugary stuff in Merchant Adventurers’ Hall.
The show set volunteers a two-week “chocolate task” and returned to film the results in Bettys and elsewhere.

Looking trim and healthy, which is no surprise considering he’s the science journalist who brought the 5:2 diet to prominence in his Horizon documentary Eat, Fast & Live Longer, Michael filmed the link in front of Shambles’ sweet shops.
His appearance caused quite a stir, with locals and tourists stopping to watch the production team at work.
The third series of Trust Me, I’m A Doctor is due to go out later this year.
