The A59 at Kex Gill was blocked yesterday after a multiple vehicle accident.
Fire Crews from Harrogate and Skipton responded to the report of a collision in which a Range Rover had lost its wheel causing it to collide with four other vehicles.
All occupants were out of the vehicles when the fire service arrived.
They suffered minor injuries but none required ambulance treatment.
Crews made the vehicles and the scene safe before leaving the incident with the police.
