Armed police swooped on a quiet North Yorkshire village tonight (Tuesday).
There was a large police presence in Hambleton, near Selby.
Gateforth Lane was sealed off while the operation took place.

Residents in the area say they’ve been told the officers were searching for someone armed with a weapon.
We understand a man was later arrested in Thorpe Willoughby, near the Fox Inn.
