Sewers and drains in Acomb have been struggling to cope with the heavy rain we have seen over York in the last few days.
Residents have reported issues including water pressure forcing drain covers off on Cornlands Road, St Stephens Road, Thoresby Road, Tennent Road and Tudor Road.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue was called out to Front Street by Morrisons and Ascomb Keba to deal with flooding in the road and there was water gushing out of covers in Green Lane.
Ridgeway and Bramham Avenue as well as some streets in Chapelfields which don’t usually see such deep water.
