An investigation is underway after a car crashed into a hedge on a rural road.
A Yorkshire Ambulance Service crew discovered the car in the hedge at Thornton Lane, Thornton-le-Dale today (Sunday) at 11.40am
They called in the North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, who sent crews from Malton and Pickering to the scene.
A fire service spokesperson said: “The crews carried out an external search but persons are believed to have left the scene.
“Fire crew made the vehicle safe and left the incident with police.”
