There was a crash involving several vehicles in York last night (Monday).
Emergency services went to the collision on Tadcaster Road in York at 5.41pm.
Witnesses said it was close to York Racecourse. Several cars had run into the back of each other.
They said several police cars and two ambulances went to the scene.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from York responded to a report of a multiple vehicle road traffic collision.
“All occupants were out of their vehicles prior to fire crews arriving on scene.
“Crews made the vehicles safe and left the incident in the hands of the police.”
