Do you recognise him?
This is the face of the man who attacked a woman as she walked her dog on Strensall Common near York.
Detectives investigating the attack issued the efit of the suspect after the incident which happened between 2.30pm and 3.15pm on Sunday, February 26.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said:
Dog was the hero
The woman was walking her dog along a path next to the golf course, about 15 minutes’ walk from the car park, when the man called out to her.
Concerned, she turned to walk back the way she had come. The man then jumped out in front of her and grabbed the skin on her neck, painfully twisting it.
The woman’s dog bit the man on his leg. He kicked the dog and shouted at the woman – and the dog bit him on his leg again.
As a result he let go of the woman and she escaped to her car.
