Thousands of fans were left in raptures as Hollywood superstar Will Smith took to the stage at the Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Sunday.
The singer and film actor brought the summer season to an amazing close at the venue.
It was the first time the open air theatre had hosted a performer who boasts an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA and a handful of Grammy awards.
Eight thousand fans were in the UK’s biggest open-air concert arena for his Based on a True Story European Tour.
Smith’s set took him from his early days as the Fresh Prince, through his movie hits and on to his new material. It included smash hits like Miami, Summertime, Men in Black and Wild Wild West.

He even brought out his best actor Oscar to huge cheers.
Smith told the crowd: “This night is particularly joyful for me as I’ve had some difficulties in the last couple of years.
“I’ve spent my entire career trying to bring joy and fun and love. It’s been my deepest human devotion to bring a little bit of light and love into this world.”
He appeared after DJ sets by Radio 1 DJs Rickie & Melvin and Radio 2’s Scott Mills.
