Another 680 coronavirus cases were reported in York this week (to Wednesday, 13 July) – up from 552 last week.

The cumulative case total has risen to 68,733.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 322.3 new cases per 100,000 people. It was 261.6 last week.

The English national average is 309.4, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 264.6.

As at 17 July, the Covid Symptom App estimates 11,006 people per 100,000 in York with symptomatic Covid (responses from a sample of 1,728 people) – up from 9,698 last week.

There has been one coronavirus death in the City of York Council area in the last seven days. The total number of deaths in the city is 497.

Another 552 coronavirus cases were reported in York this week (to Wednesday, 6 July) – up from 541 last week.

The cumulative case total has risen to 68,053 (total as at Tuesday, 5 July).

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 261.6 new cases per 100,000 people. It was 228.4 last week.

The English national average is 246.3, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 206.

As at 30 June, the Covid Symptom App estimates 9,698 people per 100,000 in York with symptomatic Covid (responses from a sample of 1,616 people) – up from 4,205 last week.

There have been three coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area in the last seven days (up two). The total number of deaths in the city is 496.

The York Covid map for 26 June 2022

Another 541 coronavirus cases were reported in York this week (to Friday, 1 July) – up from 529 last week.

That takes the cumulative case total to 67,017 – giving an overall infection rate of 32,016.2 cases per 100,000 people.

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 228.4 new cases per 100,000 people (482 cases). It was 198.6 last week.

The English national average is 205.7, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 171.9.

As at 30 June, the Covid Symptom App estimates 4,205 people per 100,000 (or 4.21%) in York with symptomatic Covid (responses from a sample of 1,753 people).

Ranking: York is now ranked 126th out of 149 Upper Tier Local Authorities in England – with a rank of 1 indicating the lowest 7 day rate.

Case rates in York are highest in the following age ranges: 60-64 (371 per 100,000); 45-49 (369); 35-39 (320) and 50-54 (308).

Positivity: As at 23 June, the latest 14 day positivity rate in York (Pillar 2 tests) was 19.0%. The national and regional averages are 7.6% and 9.8% respectively.

York Hospital: As at 24 June there were 46 confirmed Covid-19 patients in General/Acute beds. The peak number was 158 on 28.3.22. There were two patients in intensive care.
