Talented photographer Danny Lawson has been out and about in North Yorkshire capturing the county in the snow.

Danny, who works for the PA news agency, has photographer children and dogs having fun in the white stuff, fabulously icy landscapes, and those working hard to keep our roads as safe as possible.

Leeds Bradford Airport reopens – but there’s a backlog of flights

The runway at Leeds Bradford Airport has reopened and operations are now resuming.

An airport spokesperson said: “Due to a backlog of departing flights, some disruption is expected to continue throughout the day.

“For the latest updates on flight times, customers are advised to contact their airline directly.

“Security screening will close at 22.45 this evening, so all departing customers should ensure they arrive at the airport before this time.

“A huge thank you to our customers for their continued patience and understanding, and a special thanks to our teams on the ground who have worked tirelessly to clear the snow.”

Hoping York Street Kitchen, which serves freshly made home cooked meals to all in need every Sunday, is not deterred by the weather.

The team posted this today (adding that it should read ‘Mmmm’ not ‘Mummy’):

Canopies up for shelter, we'll be serving hot meals as usual 2.30 to 4pm today. Wrap up warm. Mummy…those menus…#HOMELESS #poverty pic.twitter.com/YEOqHj3kVy
