Castle Howard will be CLOSED Sunday 5th January, due to the inclement weather conditions. Heavy snowfall this morning has made it impossible to open the site.
All bookings for the House and Gardens on Sunday 5th Jan will be refunded. We apologise for the inconvenience

Fallen trees are adding to today’s travel problems.
The A19 is reportedly blocked at Escrick outside the Parsonage with tree down.
And there’s another one across the road at Crocker Hill.
This was posted onto the Save Our Selby Facebook page by Arriva Yorkshire buses operation supervisor Will Jones.
“All bus are suspended until further notice due to the weather.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Travel to and from East Yorkshire is proving difficult.
East Yorkshire Buses is rejigging its timetable, and the services between York, Pocklington and Market Weighton are affected.
