York outer ring road congested after crash

A section of York outer ring road is congested after a crash this afternoon (Thursday, 20 July).

The incident is on the A64 close to the turn off to York College. It is causing delays.

An earlier crash on the A64 eastbound also caused traffic congestion from the A1036 Tadcaster Road to the A19 (Fulford Interchange), the AA reports.

Bridge reopens after earlier crash

We understand the bridge that was closed by an earlier crash has now reopened.

We reported earlier how the A684 near the bridge at Morton-on-Swale, west of Northallerton, was closed in both directions after a collision early today (Monday, 10 July).

The route is now open again.

Bridge closed after crash – ‘Significant traffic disruption expected’

The A684 near the bridge at Morton-on-Swale, west of Northallerton, is closed in both directions after a collision early this morning (Monday, 10 July).

Police said significant traffic disruption was expected.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “There is not believed to be any serious injuries, but the road may be closed for some time – so please avoid the area and find an alternative route.”

Emergency services at scene of crash on A64

A crash on the A64 this afternoon is causing problems for drivers (Sunday, 9 July).

Emergency services are on the scene of the collision at Huttons Ambo near Malton.

North Yorkshire Police tweeted at 3.15pm: “We are currently dealing with an RTC on the A64 at Huttons Ambo which is causing queues in both directions.

“Please avoid the area and find alternative routes.”

Roads closed after two separate crashes in the Tadcaster area

Emergency service are at two separate crashes in the Tadcaster area this evening (Thursday, 29 June).

The roads affected are

  • the junction of the A162/A64
  • and the A659 Leeds Road area near to the Lordswood Cricket School.

North Yorkshire Police said at 5.27pm: “Some roads have been closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.

“We would advise all road users to avoid the area.

“Thanks for your patience.”

Crash in Heworth cleared

The crash that blocked a Heworth road has been cleared.

A collision was partially blocking Harrison Street, near Dales Lane, causing traffic problems this morning (Thursday, 29 June).

But it has been cleared and traffic is now flowing normally.
