The crash on the A1(M) near York has been cleared.
We reported earlier that an overturned vehicle had closed a lane on the southbound carriageway, from J44 A64 (York / Tadcaster) to J43 M1 interchange this morning (Tuesday, 27 September).
That lane has now reopened. Traffic is still slow but should be back to normal soon.
A crash is causing problems on the A1(M) near York this morning (Tuesday, 27 September).
One lane is closed and there’s slow traffic due to the crash on the southbound carriageway, from J44 A64 (York / Tadcaster) to J43 M1 interchange.
Lane one (of four) is closed due to an overturned vehicle.
According to National Highways, the road is expected to clear between 9.30am and 9.45am.
They expect traffic to return to normal between 10.15am and 10.30am.
The crash which partially blocked the A64 has been cleared.
As we reported earlier, the incident was near the Barr Lane turn off to Stockton on the Forest.
Traffic is now running normally.

The A1M has reopened.
As we reported earlier, the road was closed northbound between junctions 42 and 43.
It followed a collision in the early hours, crash investigations and an oil spillage.
The incident caused rush hour congestion which is now easing.

There’s queuing traffic after the closure between J42 the A63 Selby fork and the M1 Aberford bypass.
Following the collision, reported at 12.52am, an oil spill and crash investigation work has kept the road closed.
A diversion is in place. Drivers should follow the solid square symbol, via the A63 and A656 through Micklefield to the M1 junction 47.
