The closure of Wigginton Road this morning has created serious traffic problems across the city centre.

As at 10.15am there was congestion:

  • On Clifton and Bootham
  • On Gillygate and Lord Mayor’s Walk
  • On Burton Stone Lane
  • On Monkgate
  • On Station Road.

Most routes around the city centre are busy, and the Northern section of the outer ring road near Clifton Moor is very slow too.
