Police are advising York drivers to avoid the A64 near its junction with the A19 this lunchtime (Wednesday, 14 February).
A lorry has spilled a lot of rubble on the road.
Traffic police posted this message on their social channels: “Disruption to traffic flow on A64 at A19 junction eastbound.
“A lorry has lost large amounts of rubble on the A64 and surrounding roads in this immediate area.
“Traffic is very slow so an alternative route may be a good option in the short term.
“Please drive safely.”
There’s been a multi-car crash on the York outer ring road this morning (Thursday, 8 February).
It’s on the westbound A64 between the A1079 and A19 junctions.

A lorry has shed its load of fence rails on the M1 bringing the road to a standstill this morning (Wednesday, 31 January).
It has happened on the M1 southbound at junction 47 A656 (Garforth / Micklefield).
