There’s slow traffic on the A1 at Wetherby, according to this post from North Yorkshire Weather Updates on Facebook:

Fallen trees are adding to today’s travel problems.
The A19 is reportedly blocked at Escrick outside the Parsonage with tree down.
And there’s another one across the road at Crocker Hill.
This was posted onto the Save Our Selby Facebook page by Arriva Yorkshire buses operation supervisor Will Jones.
“All bus are suspended until further notice due to the weather.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Travel to and from East Yorkshire is proving difficult.
East Yorkshire Buses is rejigging its timetable, and the services between York, Pocklington and Market Weighton are affected.

They warned us. After several days of Met Office weather warnings, the snow has arrived good and proper in York and North Yorkshire.
Several inches have fallen on York overnight, and at the time of writing (9.20am) it is still falling.
The weather is making travel difficult on many roads.
