The Civic Party is helping Scarcroft Green Nursery celebrate its 10th birthday by visiting the staff and children to help commemorate the special day.
On Tuesday 3 September the Lord Mayor will visit the nursery and read stories to the children as well as talking to them about the role of the Lord Mayor. She will then also enjoy lunch at the nursery.
The Rt Hon The Lord Mayor of York Cllr Julie Gunnell said: “I am delighted to meet everyone at Scarcroft Green Nursery to celebrate its 10th birthday.
“I am looking forward to meeting the children and answer any questions they may have about what being Lord Mayor is like, it promises to be a great day.”
