Police want to identify this man following an attempted theft at a York supermarket.
It happened at Sainsbury’s on Bootham at about 11.15pm on Sunday 19 May.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The suspect entered the store and attempted to steal three bottles of wine.
“On leaving the store he was challenged by a member of the public; he then dropped the wine and left the area.
“Please contact us if you recognise the man pictured in the CCTV image as we believe he may have information that will assist our investigation.”
