A man was taken to hospital after being attacked at York Station.
It happened at about 6.15pm on Saturday (6 September).
A police cordon was put in place near the front entrance, but otherwise the station operated as normal.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “We were called to York Station at around 6.15pm on Saturday 6 September following reports of an assault.
“Officers attended along with paramedics and a person was taken to hospital.
“An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or who witnessed what happened can text 61016 quoting reference 617 of 6 September.”
