A man found with a knife in York has been sent to prison.
Police say they arrested him in the city centre last week.
He was also wanted for breaches of a domestic violence protection order.
The man was sent to court where he was given a six-week prison sentence.
Also last week, police arrested a prolific shoplifter for thefts across York.
He has been charged with six thefts as well as a breach of bail conditions.
Sergeant Toby Gorwood said: “At court the following day he was remanded for in custody for 12 days until his next court appearance – whilst that isn’t a end result, it removes him as a problem for the time-being.”
