A man was punched in the face and had his phone stolen in a riverside mugging in York early today (Wednesday).
It happened near Dame Judi Dench Walk between 6.30am and 6.39am.
The attack left the victim with minor facial injuries. He didn’t need hospital treatment.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The suspect was located and arrested just before 8.30am following enquiries.
“We are appealing for witnesses and relevant CCTV of the incident.
“Officers believe the suspect and the victim are known to each other.
“While concerning and alarming to those who witnessed it, we believe there was no wider risk to the public.”
