A new store is opening soon on Stonegate in York city centre.
Family-run, independent business Wild & Westbrooke is opening up on the famous street early in March.
It will be their second store in York – the first opened on Lendal just over three years ago.
Specialising in women’s country lifestyle clothing, accessories and footwear, they stock a range of popular brands including Fairfax & Favor, Holland Cooper and Dubarry.
The success of the Lendal store encouraged the team to look for bigger premises, enabling them to increase their range and levels of stock.
The new shop at No. 3 Stonegate (formerly Pure Collection) was the “perfect fit” – offering two sales floors, display areas and plenty of storage space for stock.
Managing director Laura Pipes said: “We just can’t wait to open our new store. We have loved being based in York for the last three years and think that Stonegate will be the perfect location for our expansion plans.

Laura paid tribute to their loyal customers who have helped them get through such challenging years for businesses.
“We could not be more grateful to everyone who has supported us over the last three years, especially through the difficulties of Covid,” she said.
“We hear constantly about the challenges of trading in the high street and are so pleased, as an independent, to be able to bring a little positivity to the retail offering in York.”

Laura runs the Lendal shop with her mum Tanya, and partner, Ollie Stirk. Laura and Ollie are planning to get married next year so are doubly excited about the new venture.
“We are a local, family-run business and pride ourselves on the level of service we offer. The second shop will entail taking on extra staff, ensuring we continue to provide an excellent shopping experience.”
