The Post Office on Front Street in Acomb is set to close in September after the Postmaster told customers that he had to leave because of personal reasons.
Anand Patel has run the business for the last 8 years and says it was a very hard decision to have to make. He will miss his regular customers. The Post Office is expected to say more about plans for services in Acomb soon .

Regular customer Jean Hackney wished Mr Patel well but said it would be a blow to lose the facility at that end of Acomb.
