York police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a distinctive bike in the city.
Orange 5 Mountain Cycle, was stolen from Fulford Cycles on Friday 26 July 2013.
The bike is black and has the word “five” written on the side of the frame, has full suspension. It is valued at around £3,000.
It is believed that the stolen bike will be the only one of its type in the city, as it is a new model and is not widely available.
Detective Inspector Dave Kirby, of York CID, said: “This is a highly distinctive mountain bike and I am positive that you will remember seeing it.
“I ask that people keep an eye out for the mountain bike when they are out and about in York. I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have been offered the bike for sale and urge them to get in touch straight away.”
