Produced by Elbow’s Guy Garvey and Craig Potter, the album has proved to be a successful follow-up to their Mercury Music Prize-nominated album Sky At Night.
The folk rock trio have been together for 14 years, and bring a distinctive North West melancholy to their music. Previous collaborators include The Lightning Seeds’ Ian Broudie, who produced the song Life In A Day, while former Doctor Who and fellow Lancastrian Christopher Eccleston was recruited to the video of their song Proof.
And this year another actor with strong Who credentials, John Simm, is fronting the video for single Some Better Day.
I Am Kloot, comprising front man John Bramwell, bass player Peter Jobson and drummer Andy Hargreaves, deliver “gritty but pretty symphonies about life on the slopes delivered with morality, humanity, drama and empathy”, in the words of The Guardian’s critic.
